# ON LEVEL

ON LEVEL is the brand for the On the Level Marking System and its primary product, **COLM** (Computerized On Level Marker). It replaces the pencil, the chalk, and the layout tape by printing layouts directly onto lumber.

## System Overview

Unlike traditional marking automation systems that require moving heavy lumber to a stationary machine, COLM is a mobile, jobsite-ready robot. It rolls directly on raw lumber right on the active deck where the framing crew is building, printing layout markings—such as stud centers, window openings, and header locations—exactly where they belong. This eliminates the transport labor and layout errors of manual marking.

## How COLM Operates

1.  **Unload and Launch:** Bring the lumber to the active level of the building. Place COLM on the first board, send the framing plan from a mobile device or tablet via Bluetooth, and start printing.
2.  **Follow the Ink:** COLM runs down the face of the board, printing layouts and structural indicators directly onto the wood.
3.  **Frame the Wall:** The crew reads the layout marks directly from the lumber and nails the components down. Every mark shows exactly what stud, jack, or header belongs there.

## Development Status

ON LEVEL is currently in a pre-funding R&D phase (prototyping). It is a pre-formation company, and all specifications represent target engineering guidelines for future product development.
